Mites may be found under the fingernails after the affected person has been scratching. Fingernails should be trimmed and a thin layer of medication applied under the fingernails. In infants, mittens applied to the hands will prevent removal and ingestion of the treatment product; a second course of treatment is recommended 7 days after the first application to ensure that mites that may have hatched after the first treatment are killed. Overtreatment is common and should be avoided because of the toxicity of some of the treatment agents, therefore the presence of mites should be confirmed with a skin scraping prior to any further treatment following the application of the second course; cases should be monitored for evidence of secondary bacterial infections; all treatment must be undertaken on a coordinated basis to prevent further spread; and a nominated staff member should regularly liaise with the pharmacy to ensure adequate stocks of medication are available in the event of escalating numbers of cases. 1.4. Concurrent Disinfection underwear, clothing, towels and bed linen including any additional personal effects such as slippers, bed jackets, dressing gowns, knee rugs etc ; used by the affected person in the 4 days prior to treatment should be laundered using a hot cycle wash and or 10 minutes in a tumble dryer on a hot setting to kill the mites. If items are unable to be laundered or hot tumble dried, place items in a plastic bag and leave for at least 4 days before airing and then reusing; smooth floors need to be thoroughly mopped at least daily using a routine detergent; areas such as shared toilet and shared commode chair seats need to be thoroughly wiped after each use with a routine detergent; and additional environmental control, such as the use of an insecticide, is unnecessary.

Stock-based compensation In November 2003, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants "CICA" ; amended CICA Handbook Section 3870, "Stock-Based Compensation and Other Stock-Based Payments, " to require the expensing of all stock-based compensation awards for fiscal years beginning on or after January 1, 2004. Effective July 1, 2004, the Company adopted the recommendations of the amended CICA Handbook Section 3870, which resulted in the fair value method of accounting being used for all stock-based compensation. The standard has been applied on a retroactive basis. The consolidated statements of loss and deficit for the year ended June 30, 2004 have not been restated. During the year ended June 30, 2005, the cumulative impact of stock-based compensation for the fiscal years ended June 30, 2004 and 2003 was recognized in the consolidated financial statements as an adjustment to opening deficit. The impact of the adoption was a one-time increase to deficit of , 180, to stock options of , 755 and to common shares of , 425. For the year ended June 30, 2005, the effect of the adoption of the fair value method of stock-based compensation expense is an increase to general and administrative expense of 6, 415 and an increase to research and development, net, of 2, 959 with the corresponding total included as an increase to stock options. Compensation expense is recognized for stock options based on the fair value of the options at the grant date. The fair value of the options is recognized over the vesting period of the options as general and administrative or research and development expense, with the corresponding amount included in equity as stock options. The fair value of stock options is estimated at the grant date using the Black-Scholes option pricing model. This model requires the input of a number of assumptions, including expected dividend yields, expected stock price volatility, expected time until exercise and risk-free interest rates. Although the assumptions used reflect management's best estimates, they involve inherent uncertainties based on conditions outside of the Company's control. If other assumptions are used, stock-based compensation could be significantly impacted. The stock option balance is reduced as the options are exercised or when the options expire unexercised. If the stock options are exercised, the amount initially recorded for the options in stock options is credited to common shares, along with the proceeds received on the exercise. If the options expire unexercised, the amount initially recorded for the options in stock options is credited to contributed surplus. Consolidation of variable interest entities In September 2004, the CICA issued Accounting Guideline 15 "AcG-15" ; , "Consolidation of Variable Interest Entities, " which applies to annual and interim periods beginning on or after November 1, 2004. AcG-15 requires that the assets, liabilities, and results of a Variable Interest Entity "VIE" ; be consolidated into the financial statements of the enterprise when that enterprise is the primary beneficiary of the VIE. In general, an entity is classified as a VIE if: i ; total equity is not sufficient to permit the entity to finance its activities without additional subordinated financial support; ii ; its equity investors lack the direct or indirect ability to make decisions about an entity's activities through voting rights; or iii ; its equity investors do not absorb the expected losses of the entity if they occur or receive the expected residual returns of the entity if they occur. To determine if an investor in a VIE is the primary beneficiary, the investor must determine if it will absorb a majority.

| Flora purimFINANCIAL REVIEW Financial Performance In this announcement of the 2003 interim financial results, prior period adjustments have been made in respect of the accounting policy changes this year, following the adoption of the revised accounting standard, HKSSAP 12 Income Taxes. The outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome SARS ; in March 2003 in Hong Kong seriously affected the economy, especially retail sales, tourism and catering. As a result, the unemployment situation worsened and the consumer credit market further weakened. With continued downward pressure on interest rates, competition within the banking sector remained fierce. Despite this difficult operating environment, in the first six months of 2003 BEA Group achieved a profit attributable to shareholders of HK3 million, representing an increase of HK million, or 5.1%, over that of HK4 million for the corresponding period in 2002. The result was also HK7 million, or 53.6%, above the HK6 million recorded in the second half of 2002. Basic earnings per share were HK##TEXT##.55. Return on average assets and return on average equity were 0.9% and 8.4% respectively. BEA's net interest income decreased by HK million or 2.3% from HK, 819 million in the first half of 2002 to HK, 777 million in the first half of 2003. Net interest margin declined to 2.01%. Non-interest income continued to perform well, increasing by 15.5% from HK3 million in the first half of 2002 to HK1 million over the corresponding period in 2003. The upsurge was mainly attributable to an increase in profits on investments in securities. Total operating income grew by 3.2% to HK, 728 million. Total operating expenses decreased slightly by 3.5% over the corresponding figure for 2002 to HK, 327 million, a result of BEA's determination to reducing operating costs. Hence, the cost to income ratio dropped from 52.0% in 2002 to 48.6% in 2003. It is expected that the cost to income ratio will continue to drop, reflecting the rationalisation measures put in place following the merger of a number of units in recent years. Operating profit before provisions recorded an increase of 10.5% from HK, 268 million in the first six months of 2002 to HK, 401 million in the corresponding period for 2003. The figure also represents an increase of 12.5% over the HK, 246 million recorded in the second half of 2002, demonstrating strong performance in BEA's core banking business. BEA's asset quality continued to improve, in line with precautionary measures undertaken by the Bank to minimise the potential for loss in the current economic situation. As a result, the charge for bad and doubtful debts decreased by 9.3% from HK1 million in the first six months of 2002 to HK1 million in the corresponding period for 2003. The result also reflects a decrease of 40.5% from the charge of HK0 million in the second half of 2002. Non-performing loans dropped from 2.9% of total loans at the end of June and December 2002, to 2.8% at the end of June 2003. As a result of the increase in operating profit before provisions and the decrease in the charge for bad and doubtful debts, BEA's operating profit after provisions recorded double digit growth, rising 17.2% to HK, 110 million. In line with the downward trend in property prices, the value of BEA's investment properties and bank premises recorded a decline amounting to HK million and HK million respectively. In the first six months of 2003, BEA shared a pre-tax profit less losses from associates of HK million, as compared with HK million in the same period in 2002. Minority interests decreased by HK million to HK million. With the increase in pretax profits and in the profits tax rate, and the adoption of revised SSAP 12, taxation increased by 22.3% to HK5 million. Net profit attributable to shareholders for the first half of 2003 was HK3 million. Financial Position As at 30th June, 2003, total consolidated assets were HK9, 323 million, of which 55.4%, or HK4, 943 million, were advances to customers. Customer deposits were HK7, 146 million. With HK, 278 million loan capital, total capital resources increased by 1.1% from HK, 107 million at the end of 2002 to HK, 372 million. In the first half of 2003, BEA issued certificates of deposit with a value of HK, 000 million and discounted certificates of deposit totalling AUD68 million and NZD74 million, respectively. The Bank redeemed certificates of deposit amounting to US5 million and HK, 135 million upon maturity, and repurchased a quantity of its own certificates of deposit amounting to HK million equivalent. -- 19.

Complementary and alternative medicine use is prominent in the United States. The use of complementary and alternative therapies appears to be common in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, but few studies have been completed in children. We sought to examine the extent that children with inflammatory bowel disease in the Greater Philadelphia area Philadelphia County and the surrounding counties in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania ; use alternative therapies. We paid particular attention to the specific types of therapies used and whether certain demographic and disease associated factors influence the degree of usage. In this study, we questioned the families of all children diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, aged 6 to 16 years and living within Philadelphia and its surrounding counties, who were followed at 1 of the 2 academic pediatric gastroenterology programs that served the area. More than 80% of surveys were returned. Fifty-one percent 95% C.I. 45% to 56% ; of patients surveyed reported some form of alternative medicine use within the previous year. Univariate analysis revealed increased use among patients who had Crohn disease, who used the Internet for research on their disease, who reported poor quality of life and had increased school absences in the past year. Therapies associated with alternative medicine use included biological and immunomodulatory therapy. Regression analysis revealed positive associations between use of alternative therapies and expenditure on nonprescription treatments, poor quality of life, Internet research, and the need for calorie supplementation, whereas there was a negative association with history of prior surgery for inflammatory bowel disease and antiox.

| In Israel, our kids and our friend's kids all learned about the Jewish holidays at very young ages. Every year, beginning in winter and continuing through the springtime, the day-care and nursery-school teachers would tell the children the Chanukah, Pueim and Pesach stories. When asked to retell any one of those stories, the children would inevitably get all the Chagim confused in an adorable, mixed-up jumble of names and plot lines. But the littlekid narratives all started the same: "Once there was a bad bad man." The children couldn't necessary match the bad men Antiochus, Haman, Pharaoh with their corresponding holiday. But for the kids, the first point had been made. In every generation there is someone who tries to do us harm. "They tried to kill us." The children also always knew that there was a "good man" a hero who came along to save the Jews. Of course, they might argue vehemently and self-assuredly that it was Judah Macabbi who took the Jews out of Egypt and foiled Haman's evil plot. But accuracy wasn't the point. They felt empowered. The Jews had tough times, but there were always heroes like Judah, Mordechai, and Moses who helped the Jews bring about a happy ending. "We beat them." While they were inevitably fuzzy on the historical facts, the kids never got the food confused. Chanukah was Sufganiot jelly doughnuts ; , Phrim was Oznei Haman Hamentashen ; , and Pesach was Matzah. The food made the holidays real, and certainly fun. "Let's eat." We work hard here at Bet Shraga to help the children get the facts straight. It is important that they go beyond the simplicity of the joke and understand the holidays on a more sophisticated level. But we still believe in food! Enjoy the Hamentashen, and HAPPY PURIM! MICROBIOLOGICAL BACKGROUND Taxonomically, chlamydiae are placed in their own order Chlamydiales ; and the family, Chlarnydiaceae, contains a single genus, Chlamydia, which comprises four species. Chlamydia trachomatis contains 15 serovars; serovars A-C cause the chronic cicatrising eye disease, trachoma and, rarely, sexually related infection Mabey and Whittle, 1982 serovars DK do not seem to be associated with trachoma, but cause paratrachoma and a variety of genital tract diseases. Serovars L1-L3 are responsible for lymphogranuloma venereum LGV ; . C. psittaci causes disease in birds and animals and respiratory disease psittacosis ; and occasionally abortion in humans. C. pecorum causes pneumonia, arthritis and diarrhoea in cattle and sheep. C. pneumoniae is the recent binomial designation for strains which hitherto were termed TWAR. It causes human respiratory disease and has been associated with artherosclerosis. Chlamydiae are recognised as bacteria because they possess peptidoglycan cell wall material, contain RNA and DNA and are sensitive to a wide variety of broad-spectrum antibiotics. However, the size of the infectious particles elementary bodies: EBs ; is similar to and rimonabant.

A purim play called a purim spiel ; is a purim tradition and fucidin.
Curious interpretation of the biblical account as to how the Israelites covenanted with God and accepted God's commandments. It makes the whole idea of redemption and covenant appear very human. The Talmud says that when the Israelites came out of Egypt to Sinai, God held the mountain over their heads and said: Accept my Torah, or I will bury you right here. To which a scholar, Rabba, comments: "Then we can plead `acceptance under duress' as an extenuating circumstance if we fail to live up to the covenant. ; Not so, responds the Talmud. In the Book of Esther it states that "The Jews accepted and upheld [the Purim holiday], " Esther 9: 27 ; , which means that the Jews, by freely accepting Purim, upheld the original covenant acceptance of Sinai. This might be a way the rabbis perceived the Exodus model of the giving of the commandments as "flawed" in that the humans were over-awed, "coerced" into accepting God's revelation and commandments. On Purim the mature Jewish people reject the need for audio-visual fireworks, a mountain quaking and shaking, to realize God's presence in their history. This understanding makes them able to meet God in the real situations of life. In the Persian city of Shushan, ordinary human beings had been the agents of re dempti on. The s a ge ack in Talmudic times realized that God had ceased intervening in the style of the Torah. The recognition of the hidden divine hand in Purim was the insight that showed that the Jews had come of.
